Shelburne Museum: Life Long Ago

What a perfect day we had at the Shelburne Museum last week! The weather was perfect and our guides were full of wonderful information about life long ago. In the morning we made candles and ice cream in the Settler's House.

We had fun learning about games and toys that children played with in the past.

We visited the one-room schoolhouse and experienced what a spelling lesson might be like long ago.

In the afternoon we imagined we were preparing for a long journey. We bartered for needed items at the General Store.

Chose a wagon suitable for our journey....
and made post-cards and journey cakes to take along with us.

And we had a little time left over for the carousel!!
