Sound Waves

Students have been exploring sound through lots of hands-on activities. They are practicing being scientists by observing: looking closely, listening carefully and feeling and touching. After visiting a sound station and exploring with sound vibrations, students record their observations in a science journal and share with the class during a Science Talk.

Mix It Up Day

Last week we met with our 5th grade buddies again during the school-wide Mix It Up Day. Every student decorated a butterfly with their big buddy. They will all soon be on display at school.

Valentine's Day Fun!

We had a great time exploring the art of "layering" with Sarah Ahrens while we decorated our valentine bags. On the big day we delivered our notes and had some yummy treats together. Very sweet!

100th Day!

We had a visit from "Zero the Hero" and used our 100 items to do some fun math!
