We have been learning about how animals have different body parts in order to survive. In our last post, you saw that we had examined photos of birds with unique beaks. This time we used models of the beaks to experiment with how the beaks worked. We used a spoon and tweezer to pick up models of fish in a pond and insects in a tree. We had 20 seconds to pick up as many fish or insects with our beak models. We did 3 trials. We used the data we collected as evidence to back up claims that we had made about which beak works better for which food.
